No. We can not accept unofficial transcripts. You must provide a copy of your official transcript in order for your application to be considered complete.
You will need to submit your official transcript from your current school as well as the one you attended prior.
For example, college freshmen will need to submit their transcripts from both their current college as well as their high school. Transfer students will need to submit their transcripts from both their current college as well as the college they attended prior.
No, the official transcript submitted for a prior application would not have the official semester 2 grades for that school year. Those courses would have been in-progress at the time of application.

We can not accept scanned copies of transcripts sent directly by students. However, If your school offers an electronic delivery option, you may send the official link to scholarship@hearthstonehousing.org.
Your recommender may choose to mail or email your letter of recommendation to our office directly. You will need to upload this document instead to complete the task for you online application. ​It is your responsibility to ensure the letter of recommendation is either emailed or postmarked by March 31st.
No. You must submit two new letters of recommendation. Letters must be dated within 1 year of application deadline. Uploading letters from a previous application will result in automatic disqualification.

You will receive an email in May informing you if you have moved on to the interview round.

You will be provided alternate days and times depending on the availability of the scholarship committee member's schedule.
A member of the scholarship committee will conduct your interview. Scholarship committee members volunteer their time to review and score your application as well as conduct the interview.
You will receive a phone call from a scholarship committee member at your scheduled time. The interview will last approximately 15-20 minutes. The interviewer will ask you questions that will expand on your application and personal statement.
The interview will be held by phone. You do not have to travel anywhere.
You will be notified by email towards the end of June.
Your award will be mailed to you directly at the address provided on your application. You will have a chance to update this mailing address if you are selected.
Your award will be mailed to you in two disbursements: The first half will be sent during the fall semester and the second half will be sent during the spring semester. You will receive an email with more details.
